Description

Antelope Audio 10MX Rubidium Atomic Clock

The 10MX occupies just 1U of rack space while delivering the atomic precision that defines professional mastering and high-end recording environments. This unit combines rubidium oscillator technology with Antelope's proprietary 64-bit acoustically focused clocking algorithm to eliminate jitter at the source—the result is audibly cleaner, more three-dimensional sound with restored analog warmth and spatial clarity. Built on over 20 years of Antelope expertise, the 10MX represents the fusion of the legendary 10M's atomic stability and the Trinity's sophisticated jitter-management approach.

Clocking Performance & Stability

The 10MHz rubidium reference achieves frequency accuracy of ±0.05 PPB (parts per billion), with short-term stability reaching 8E-12 at 100 seconds and phase noise controlled to -140 dBc/Hz at 10 kHz. Daily aging remains below ±2.5E-11, ensuring negligible drift during critical sessions. Warm-up time of 8–10 minutes brings the unit to full operating specification quickly, making it practical for both permanent installation and portable mastering rigs.

Connectivity & Output Architecture

Ten 10 MHz atomic outputs on BNC connectors allow simultaneous clocking of up to 10 devices, while four word clock outputs support sampling rates up to 768 kHz. Additional mastering flexibility comes from two AES/EBU and two S/PDIF outputs rated to 192 kHz, ensuring compatibility across analog-domain converters, tape machines, and legacy gear. A word clock input accepts 44.1–384 kHz signals for external synchronization when needed.
