Sabian 17" HHX Evolution Crash Brilliant Finish vs Crotale Road Case
These are completely different product categories: Product A is a crash cymbal for drummers, while Product B is a protective road case for crotales (pitched percussion). Choose the crash cymbal if you need a responsive jazz/fusion crash; choose the road case if you need to transport and protect a set of crotales.
No sales tax on orders shipped outside California — total cost beats national retailers that charge sales tax in nearly every state.

Frequently asked questions
Can I use the HHX Evolution Crash for heavy metal or rock?
No. The HHX Evolution is engineered specifically for jazz, fusion, and studio work with a dark tone and quick responsiveness that does not suit heavy metal or thrash metal playing styles.
What is the Crotale Road Case designed to hold?
The case is purpose-built to accommodate and protect one octave of Sabian crotales, which are pitched hand-percussion instruments, not drums or cymbals.
Do I need to remove the crotales from the case to play them?
No. A distinctive feature of this case is the ability to play your crotales directly from inside it, eliminating the need for removal before performance or practice.
What skill level is the HHX Evolution Crash suited for?
The HHX Evolution is designed for intermediate, advanced, and professional drummers and percussionists who can take advantage of its nuanced responsiveness and stick definition in complex musical settings.
