Frequently asked questions
Are these products compatible with each other?
No. The Mini Stagebox 16i is designed exclusively for Soundcraft Si-series mixing consoles via RJ45/Cat5 connection. The DPS4 power supply is specific to the MH2 console only.
Which one is better for a live sound setup?
The Mini Stagebox 16i is purpose-built for live performance, offering remote-controlled I/O expansion over long cable distances. The DPS4 is a power supply component and only applicable if you already use an MH2 console in your live rig.
What skill level do I need to install these?
Both are intermediate-to-professional level components. The Mini Stagebox requires familiarity with Si-series console networking and stage-to-console cable management. The DPS4 requires basic power supply swap knowledge for MH2 consoles.
Can I use the Mini Stagebox for studio recording?
It is not ideal for home recording or studio sessions; it is designed for live performance and touring applications where long-distance I/O extension is needed.
