Frequently asked questions
Is there any tonal difference between the Black and Zebra finishes?
No. Both versions use identical ceramic studs in the neck position, black steel poles with ceramic magnet in the bridge, 3K DC resistance, and custom retro active preamps. The finish is purely cosmetic.
Are these pickups suitable for genres other than metal?
These are optimized for metal, djent, and hard rock with high-gain tones. They are not ideal for jazz, blues, folk, or clean tones due to their aggressive articulation and ceramic warmth designed for heavy applications.
What's included in the installation package?
Both sets include dual 25K volume and tone controls, stereo output jack, battery bus, two-conductor plus battery wiring, mounting hardware, and springs. The solderless system eliminates the need for soldering.
How long does the battery last?
Both versions offer approximately 600 hours of battery life on a single 9V battery (not included), allowing extended touring and gigging intervals between replacements.
