Frequently asked questions
What's the main tuning difference between these two?
The Sun Valley Super Shredder FR S is a standard 6-string tuned down for metal and hard rock. The Sunset-7 Extreme adds a seventh string tuned to B, extending range for progressive and djent-style playing.
Which has better tuning stability?
The Sunset-7 Extreme uses a hardtail bridge and carbon-fiber reinforced neck for maximum stability during aggressive playing. The Sun Valley's Floyd Rose Special tremolo is excellent for effects but requires more maintenance and setup knowledge.
Which is better for high-gain metal?
Both excel at metal, but for different reasons. The Sun Valley's EMG Retro Active pickup and midrange aggression suit traditional 6-string drop-D metal, while the Sunset-7's 7-string tuning and tight low end favor modern progressive and extended-range metal.
Are these B-Stock units full-spec or compromised?
Both B-Stock units carry identical specifications and performance to new inventory—B-Stock means cosmetic signs of handling or return, not missing features or inferior components.
