Frequently asked questions
Which guitar is better for drop D and drop C tunings?
The Damien-8 with its eight strings and multiscale design is optimized for extreme low tunings. The Omen Elite-6 FR can handle drop tunings but is limited to 6 strings, making it less ideal for extended-range work.
Can the Omen Elite-6 FR do tremolo effects that the Damien-8 cannot?
Yes. The Omen Elite-6 FR has a Floyd Rose Special tremolo for dynamic pitch bending, dive bombs, and whammy bar effects. The Damien-8's fixed bridge sacrifices tremolo capability for tuning stability and extended-range clarity.
Are both guitars suitable for metal and progressive music?
Both excel at metal and progressive genres. The Omen Elite-6 FR suits players who want traditional 6-string metal with tremolo expression; the Damien-8 suits players who need lower tunings, more strings, and articulate multiscale fretboard architecture for djent and modern metal.
What is the difference in neck comfort and speed?
Both feature a thin 'C' neck profile and 24 X-Jumbo frets for fast playability. The Damien-8 adds carbon-fiber reinforcement for added stability under extended-range string tension, while the Omen Elite-6 FR prioritizes ergonomic comfort for left-handed players.
