Frequently asked questions
What's the main difference in string count and scale?
The Sunset-7 Extreme has seven strings tuned to an extended range with a 27-inch scale for tighter low tunings. The Sunset-6 Triad is a traditional six-string with a 25.5-inch scale, the industry standard for rock and metal.
Which has higher output pickups?
The Sunset-6 Triad features the Schecter USA Tripocalypse triple-coil bridge pickup, which is designed for high output and aggressive tones. The Sunset-7 uses traditional dual pickups (Sunset Strip bridge and Pasadena neck) voiced for articulate extended-range clarity.
Is the Sunset-6 Triad only for left-handed players?
Yes, the Sunset-6 Triad is left-handed (LH) configured. If you're right-handed, the Sunset-7 Extreme is the appropriate choice.
Which is better for djent and progressive metal?
The Sunset-7 Extreme is purpose-built for djent and progressive styles with its seven-string configuration and extended scale. The Sunset-6 Triad works for hard rock and metal but lacks the extended range needed for traditional djent tunings.
