Frequently asked questions
Why can't you compare these two pickups?
Product B is listed as 'EMG 91 6-String Active Bass Pickup,' but the EMG 91 is a jazz guitar pickup, not a bass pickup. EMG makes 6-string bass models under different designations (P6, J6, etc.). The specification appears incorrect.
What should I do next?
Verify the exact model number printed on Product B's pickup, packaging, or original invoice. Confirm whether it is a guitar or bass model. Once corrected, an accurate side-by-side comparison can be provided.
Is Product A suitable for bass?
The EMG HX is designed for guitars and is described for studio sessions, home recording, gigging, and extended-range instruments — not bass.
