What makes the EC-01FT better for rock and metal than other styles?

The Seymour Duncan Custom 14 bridge pickup is tuned for focused, articulate output with strong midrange presence—exactly what rock and metal need to cut through and sustain. The passive electronics and direct signal path preserve pick dynamics and tone character without coloration, and set-thru construction anchors sustain for lead and rhythm work alike.

Is the thin U-contour neck comfortable for extended playing?

Yes. The 3-piece mahogany neck with thin U contour and 24.75" scale is designed for accessibility during long sessions, and the macassar ebony fingerboard combined with stainless steel frets provides a smooth, durable playing surface that stays in shape.

What electronics does this guitar have, and do I need a battery?

The EC-01FT uses a passive electronics setup with a master volume push/pull control for on-the-fly gain adjustment. No battery is required—the signal path stays simple and direct, which preserves tone clarity and eliminates maintenance headaches.

What is set-thru construction, and why does it matter?

Set-thru means the neck is anchored deep into the body rather than bolted on, which couples them into a single resonant unit. This maximizes sustain, resonance, and tonal response—especially important for rock and metal where you need controlled, articulate notes that ring out.

What is included with the guitar, and what strings come stock?

The EC-01FT ships with D'Addario XL110 strings (.010–.046) strung and ready to play. You get the guitar fully assembled with LTD locking tuners, chrome hardware, and a recessed TOM bridge with string-thru design.

Do I pay sales tax on this order?

On this item that is roughly $77 less out the door than the same listed price at a national retailer or on a marketplace.
