Description
ESP LTD EC-201 Electric Guitar Black Satin B-Stock
The EC-201 sits comfortably in hand with its ergonomic single-cutaway body and thin U-shaped neck profile—designed for speed and sustained comfort across extended playing sessions. The Black Satin finish delivers a refined, understated aesthetic that suits diverse musical contexts, while the set-neck construction and mahogany body establish a solid, resonant platform for both clean and driven tones on stage.
Playability & Construction
A 3-piece mahogany neck paired with a roasted jatoba fingerboard creates a stable, fast-playing platform with 24 extra-jumbo frets for fluid access across the entire range. The thin U contour, 350mm fingerboard radius, and 42mm nut width combine to deliver comfortable ergonomics suitable for both rhythm work and lead playing, while the set-neck construction ensures optimal sustain and tonal cohesion with the mahogany body—critical for live reliability and gigging endurance.
Tone & Electronics
The ESP-designed LH-150B humbucking pickup covers a wide tonal range from warm, articulate cleans to aggressive, saturated overdriven sounds with minimal tonal coloration, delivering consistent output night after night. A straightforward master volume control with push/pull split-coil function offers versatility without signal chain complexity, while passive electronics ensure transparent tone transmission and the road-tested reliability that working musicians depend on.

Frequently Asked Questions
What does B-Stock mean?
B-Stock means this unit is fully functional with the same tone and playability as new, but carries minor cosmetic imperfections from warehouse handling and display. These marks are purely superficial and have zero impact on structural integrity, playability, or sound. The guitar is backed by the full manufacturer warranty.
Is this guitar suitable for beginners?
Yes. The EC-201 accommodates beginner, intermediate, and advanced players thanks to its comfortable ergonomic body, thin U-neck profile, and intuitive single-humbucker setup with straightforward controls. The 24 extra-jumbo frets and 350mm fingerboard radius support both rhythm and lead work across the entire range.
What genres does this guitar handle best?
The EC-201 excels in rock, metal, blues, hard rock, and indie contexts. Its warm, articulate cleans work for classic rock and blues, while its aggressive, saturated overdriven character suits heavier and modern styles. It is not optimized for jazz or folk applications.
What is the tone like, and does it color the signal?
The ESP LH-150B humbucker delivers a wide tonal range from warm, articulate cleans to aggressive, saturated overdriven sounds with minimal tonal coloration. Passive electronics ensure transparent tone transmission, so the guitar's mahogany body and set-neck construction shine through clearly into your amp or recording chain.
Does the guitar come with a case?
No. A form-fit EC guitar case is available separately and not included with the B-Stock unit. You will receive the guitar with D'Addario XL110 strings pre-installed and ready to play.
