ESP LTD TL Series Stage Acoustic-Electrics

Plenty of gigging guitarists want an acoustic sound without wrestling a big-bodied flattop through a set. The LTD TL series answers that with a thin, electric-style body, a cutaway for upper-fret reach and an onboard preamp so you can plug straight in. It is built for the stage, and it sits on a strap the way a solid-body player expects.

Choose the voice that fits your set. The TL-6 is the steel-string workhorse, the TL-6N brings nylon-string warmth for ballads and fingerstyle passages, and the TL-12 gives you twelve-string chime for strummed songs. Left-handed players can find a TL-6 LH, and the family also includes a TL-5 bass for those who want a matching feel across the band.

With the current lineup running about $669 to $719, the decision is about string type and handedness rather than stretching a budget. LV Guitars keeps the live grid below up to date, so check what is ready to ship to your next rehearsal.

ESP LTD TL Series Thinline Acoustic-Electrics - frequently asked questions

What is the difference between the ESP LTD TL-6, TL-6N and TL-12?

All three share the slim thinline body with a cutaway and an onboard preamp. The TL-6 is the standard six-string steel-string model, the TL-6N uses nylon strings for a softer, classical-leaning feel, and the TL-12 is a twelve-string for shimmering, layered chords.

Is the ESP LTD TL series a good choice for playing on stage?

Yes, that is what it is designed for. The TL series pairs a slim, electric-style body and cutaway with an onboard preamp, so you get a recognizable acoustic tone that works live. The thinner profile also makes the guitar comfortable to hold and easy to move around with.

Does the ESP LTD TL series come in left-handed versions?

Yes, there is a left-handed TL-6 steel-string model in the family. The series also includes a TL-5 bass. Prices across the line sit in a narrow band, so choosing comes down to string type and handedness. Every instrument is set up and professionally packed, and shipping within the US is free.
