JBL CBT 100LA-1 100CM Tall Line Array Column Speaker, Black
The JBL CBT 100LA-1 is a compact yet powerful line array column speaker engineered for consistent, controlled coverage in both installed and portable applications. Its vertically-oriented design delivers intelligible speech and clear music across medium to long-throw distances, making it an efficient solution for venues, auditoriums, and outdoor installations where space and weight are considerations.
Coverage & Directivity Control
Switchable vertical pattern coverage offers 40° for medium-throw applications or 15° for long-throw installations, allowing precise control over acoustic reach without excessive off-axis spillage. The built-in voicing switch provides a flat response optimized for music playback or a presence peak tuned for speech intelligibility, adapting the speaker's character to your content type.
Reliable Power & Flexible Integration
The 325W power rating combined with a built-in 70V/100V transformer (with selectable taps at 100W, 50W, 30W, and 15W at 70V) enables straightforward system integration in distributed installations and venues running existing infrastructure, while direct 8-ohm connectivity supports traditional amplifier setups. Frequently Asked Questions
What does B-Stock mean for this speaker?
B-Stock indicates the unit is fully functional and backed by the manufacturer, but may have minor cosmetic imperfections from handling or demo use. All electrical and acoustic performance is identical to a new unit.
Should I choose the 40° or 15° vertical pattern?
Use 40° for medium-throw rooms where you want even coverage across a moderate distance and some off-axis reach. Choose 15° for long-throw installations or when you need to limit sound spillage to specific zones and prevent reflections from rear walls.
Can I use this in both installed and portable setups?
Yes. The included swivel/tilt wall-mount bracket and eighteen M6 inserts make it suitable for permanent rigging, while its 325W rating and direct 8-ohm connection support traditional amplifier wiring for portable PA.
What's included in the box?
The speaker ships with a swivel/tilt wall-mount bracket and all hardware for rigging. You will need an amplifier and cabling to complete the installation.
Does this speaker work on both 70V and standard amplifier connections?
Yes. The built-in transformer offers selectable taps at 100W, 50W, 30W, and 15W on 70V lines, or you can connect it directly to an 8-ohm amplifier output for traditional speaker wiring.
Do I pay sales tax on this order?
Sales tax is collected only on orders shipped to California; orders shipped to any other US state are not charged sales tax at checkout when you buy direct from our website. Marketplaces collect sales tax as the facilitator in most states, so the same listed price can cost more there. Buyers remain responsible for any use tax their state applies. Free US shipping and 30-day returns are included.
