How lease-to-own works

Lease-to-own with Acima lets you take home the gear now and pay for it over time, with no credit history needed. It is a lease, not a loan or a credit card: Acima buys the item from LV Guitars, you make small scheduled payments, and you own it when the lease is paid off. You can also buy it out early at a discount.

What to expect at checkout

1. Add your gear to the cart and go to checkout as usual.
2. Choose Lease-to-Own with Acima as the payment method and click Place Order.
3. Acima's secure application opens right there on the page. It takes about two minutes and asks for a government photo ID, your Social Security Number or ITIN, and your checking-account details. That information goes to Acima only. LV Guitars never sees or stores it.
4. Most decisions come back in seconds. If you are approved, you review and sign the lease agreement and make your initial payment with Acima.
5. Your LV Guitars order is placed only after the lease is signed. We then ship it like any other order.

Who can apply

• An active checking account with at least $750 of income per month.
• Three months of income history with your current income source.
• A government-issued photo ID and an SSN or Taxpayer Identification Number.
• A US shipping address. Approvals range from $300 to $5,000 in shopping power.

No credit history is required and Acima regularly approves customers with less-than-perfect credit, but Acima does obtain information from consumer reporting agencies as part of its decision.

Payments and ownership

• You make an initial payment, then renewal payments on a schedule that matches how often you are paid.
• The standard agreement reaches ownership in 12 months if every renewal payment is made.
• Early purchase option: you can buy the item outright at any time at a discount. You are not enrolled automatically; just contact Acima when you are ready.
• Leasing to ownership costs more than paying the cash price up front. Acima's standard agreement can cost more than double the cash price if you lease for the full term, so the early purchase option is the way to keep the cost down.
• Payments, statements and the early buyout are all handled in your Acima account, not with us.

Good to know

• Lease-to-own is available on orders shipping within the United States. One lease covers one order.
• Returns and exchanges follow our normal policy; the lease is adjusted with Acima when we process the return.

Our role and Acima's role

Acima is an independent company and is not affiliated with LV Guitars. The approval decision, the lease agreement, the payments and all servicing of the lease are solely between you and Acima. LV Guitars does not make or influence approval decisions, does not set lease terms or payment amounts, and cannot change, cancel or refund a lease. Our responsibility is the gear: once your lease is signed we pack and ship your order, and our normal return policy and manufacturer warranty support apply to the product itself.

Acima Leasing is a lease-to-own program provided by Acima. This is not a loan, credit, or financing. Approval is not guaranteed and terms are set by Acima in the lease agreement.
