Is this a complete hi-hat pair or just the top cymbal?

This is the top cymbal only; you will need to pair it with a bottom cymbal to complete your hi-hat setup.

What kind of music is this hat best suited for?

The HHX Groove Hat Top excels in funk, blues, gigging, and live performance contexts where dark tone, projection, and textural complexity are valued. It is not recommended for bright pop production or practice settings.

How does the medium top weight affect the sound and playability?

The medium top weight profile (1146 grams) balances articulation with sustain, delivering controlled projection and definition in a band mix without sacrificing responsiveness under the stick.

What makes B20 bronze different from other cymbal materials?

B20 bronze is a time-tested alloy of bronze, tin, and silver that produces the tonal complexity and responsiveness working drummers expect, with warm overtones and musical character rather than sterile clarity.

What finish options are available?

The 15" HHX Groove Hat Top is available in both brilliant (polished) and traditional finish options.
