SABIAN 16" Thin Crash AAX Brilliant Finish

This is a Thin weight crash, which means fast transient response and lower physical fatigue during extended playing. Thin crashes attack quicker and sustain less than Medium or Heavy profiles, making them ideal for styles requiring articulate, defined crashes rather than lingering wash.

No—this crash is voiced for rock, metal, and pop. Its bright, cutting tone and minimal sustain are designed to cut through dense mixes and louder ensembles; jazz and traditional acoustic music typically benefit from warmer, more sustained crash tones.

This features a Brilliant finish, which enhances high-frequency notes and adds shimmer and sizzle compared to Traditional finishes. The bright reflective surface contributes to the cutting attack and articulate response the AAX series is known for.

It is forged from B20 Bronze alloy and hand-tuned with the distinctive AAX hammering pattern, featuring larger, rounder peen marks. This artisan craftsmanship combined with the small raw bell creates the fast, articulate response and projection SABIAN is known for.

A 16" crash is a versatile mid-range size that works well as a secondary crash or main crash in smaller kits. It balances cutting definition with usable projection, making it suitable for both studio sessions and live performance across various venues.
