SABIAN 18" HHX Overture Single

The HHX Overture is designed specifically for orchestras, marching bands, wind bands, drum corps, and WGI ensembles. Its warm projection and clear articulation excel in large acoustic environments where cut-through is essential.

This cymbal is Medium Heavy, which supports powerful, focused articulation suitable for professional and collegiate-level performance while remaining easy to play across all skill levels. The extra mass contributes to extended sustain and aggressive speaking response.

Hand-hammering provides tonal complexity, responsiveness, and warmth that eliminate harshness while maintaining clarity and articulation across dynamic ranges—critical qualities for staying present in full orchestral textures.

The HHX Overture is available in both Natural and Brilliant finishes, allowing you to choose the look that suits your ensemble aesthetic.

No—this cymbal is optimized for ensemble and orchestral performance. It is not recommended for jazz improvisation or studio recording applications where different tonal characteristics are needed.
