Sound & Tone
The EMG 81 bridge pickup delivers tight, high-output attack with cutting treble definition, while the EMG 60 in the neck position offers clearer, more focused voicing for leads and cleaner passages, both backed by the low noise floor of active electronics. Mahogany body with a flamed maple top and set-neck construction lend weight and sustain beneath that aggressive top end, and the ebony fretboard adds snap and articulation to fast picking. With a 25.5" scale, thin neck, 24 frets and a Floyd Rose locking tremolo, it is aimed squarely at high-gain metal, hard rock and shred playing where dive bombs and extended-range lead work are part of the vocabulary.
Schecter Banshee GT FR Electric Guitar Satin Trans Red B-Stock 2545
The Banshee GT FR delivers a distinctly thin, fast neck profile that rewards precision technique and rapid position shifts across its 24 frets. This B-stock example features small cracks in the fretboard binding at the 7th and 11th fret—cosmetic wear that does not affect playability or structural integrity. Built for players pursuing high-gain tones and advanced tremolo techniques, this guitar pairs aggressive hardware with refined construction at a significant discount.
Playability & Feel
The Ultra Thin 'U' neck measures just .748" at the first fret and .787" at the 12th, combined with a 25.5" scale and 14" fretboard radius for a responsive, contemporary playing experience. 24 X-Jumbo frets and an ebony fretboard provide smooth articulation and durability, while the Maple 3-pc neck with Carbon Fiber Reinforcement Rods ensures stability and minimal neck dive even during aggressive tremolo use.
Tone & Electronics
The EMG 81/60 active pickup pairing—bridge and neck respectively—generates articulate high-end attack and sustain characteristic of professional-grade metal and rock applications. Active electronics demand a 9-volt clip-in battery, delivering consistent output and minimal noise across all volume settings. The Floyd Rose Special "Hot Rod" locking tremolo with brass block and noiseless springs maintains tuning stability through extreme pitch manipulation.

Frequently Asked Questions
What does B-Stock mean, and will the cosmetic wear affect playability?
B-Stock means this guitar is fully functional with minor cosmetic imperfections—in this case, small cracks in the fretboard binding at the 7th and 11th frets. These have no impact on playability, structural integrity, or tone, making it an excellent value for players prioritizing performance over appearance.
Is this guitar suitable for drop tunings and aggressive playing styles?
Yes. The Maple 3-pc neck with Carbon Fiber Reinforcement Rods resists neck dive during extreme tremolo use, while the Floyd Rose Special locking tremolo maintains tuning stability through aggressive pitch manipulation. It's purpose-built for metal, hard rock, and progressive playing with extended techniques.
How does the neck feel, and who would prefer it?
The Ultra Thin 'U' neck measures just .748" at the first fret, making it extremely fast and suited to players with intermediate to advanced technique who value rapid position shifts and precision over comfort during casual strumming. It rewards tight, articulate technique over extended rhythm playing.
What pickups are included, and what tone should I expect?
The guitar features an EMG 81 (bridge) and EMG 60 (neck) active pickup pairing, delivering articulate high-end attack, aggressive sustain, and minimal noise—characteristic of professional metal and hard rock tones. Active electronics powered by a 9-volt battery ensure consistent output across all volume settings.
How does this compare to the Ibanez RG550 and ESP LTD EC-1000?
The Banshee GT FR occupies the same niche as these professional metal guitars, offering a thin, responsive neck and locking tremolo, but distinguishes itself through its flamed maple aesthetic, Carbon Fiber-reinforced neck construction, and active EMG pickup output at B-stock pricing.
