Sound & Tone
The mahogany body with quilted maple top and 25.5" scale give this Omen a tight low end and clear attack, while the Schecter Diamond Plus humbuckers push articulate midrange and controlled output that stays defined under gain. The Tune-O-Matic bridge with string-thru mounting adds sustain and note focus, making it well suited to hard rock, metal rhythm work, and lead playing across the 24-fret range. Pulling the push/pull tone knob splits the coils for thinner, snappier single-coil-style voicings, opening up cleaner blues, funk, and pop-rock parts from the same guitar.
Schecter Omen Extreme-6 Electric Guitar in Black Cherry Finish
The Omen Extreme-6 delivers a comfortable, fast playing experience with its thin C-profile neck and 24 X-Jumbo frets that reward both precision work and aggressive soloing. The quilted maple top over mahogany body in Black Cherry finish presents a striking visual, while the bolt-on construction and Tune-O-Matic bridge with string-thru mounting provide stable tuning and solid sustain. This is a straightforward, capable instrument designed to cut through without pretense.
Playability & Feel
The thin C neck shape paired with 0.822" depth at the 1st fret and 0.855" at the 12th fret creates a fast, approachable feel without sacrificing control. The 14" fingerboard radius and 24 X-Jumbo frets support both smooth bends and articulate picking, while abalone and pearloid vector inlays mark your position cleanly across the rosewood fretboard. The 1.653" Graph Tech XL Black Tusq nut ensures reliable string spacing and tuning stability—essentials for gigging and staying locked in with a band.
Tone & Stage Reliability
Schecter Diamond Plus humbuckers at neck and bridge deliver articulate midrange and controlled output suited to both clean and driven tones, cutting clearly in live mix without muddiness. A push/pull master tone knob enables coil-splitting, letting you dial between full humbucker thickness and single-coil snap without reaching for a switch—critical flexibility in a demanding setlist. The Grover die-cast tuning machines and black chrome hardware maintain tuning integrity across a full night's work, the kind of dependability gigging players demand.
