Sound & Tone
A mahogany body gives the Stargazer-5 a warm, resonant foundation with a rich midrange, while the ebony fretboard and 35" scale add clear articulation and the extra tension that keeps the low B tight and punchy rather than flubby. The Schecter USA M-25 bridge pickup delivers powerful, focused punch, and the J-25 neck pickup leans smooth and warm, with a blend control, a series/split/parallel switch for the bridge, and a neck coil tap letting you move from thick, full-bodied tones to leaner, more cutting voices. Strung with Ernie Ball .045–.130 super long scale strings, it suits heavy rock and metal where low-end definition matters, and the same tonal range also covers the snappier, articulate lines of funk.

Frequently Asked Questions
What skill level is this bass suited for?
The Stargazer-5 is designed for intermediate, advanced, and professional players. Its thin C-neck and 35-scale require some experience to get the best from it, but the comfortable fretboard radius and fast playability reward developing technique.
What genres does this bass work best in?
This bass excels in metal, funk, rock, and progressive music. Its punchy low end and clear articulation make it ideal for heavy styles and complex basslines; it is less suited to traditional jazz and folk applications.
How does the pickup switching work and what tonal options does it offer?
A 3-way mini toggle lets you switch the bridge pickup between series, split, and parallel modes; a 2-way mini toggle engages the neck coil tap. Combined with the volume, blend, and tone controls, this gives you a wide range of tones from warm and smooth to powerful and punchy.
Why is the 35-inch scale important?
The extended 35-inch scale provides extra tension on the low B string, resulting in clear, punchy tones and better articulation in the lower registers—essential for heavy music and fast, precise playing.
What hardware and materials does it use?
The bass features a mahogany body for warm, resonant tone, a 3-piece maple neck with an ebony fretboard, TonePros M Series tuners for tuning stability, a Graph Tech XL Black Tusq nut, and a Diamond Custom Bass bridge for solid intonation.
