EMG 58 Active Humbucker Pickup in Gold
The EMG 58 is a workhorse active humbucker built for gigging musicians who need reliable tone night after night. It delivers a classic round, fat voice with commanding output and solderless connections that eliminate wiring headaches during setup or repair. Bridge or neck position, this proven design stays articulate and punchy no matter where it sits in your guitar.
Tone & Output
Built on an Alnico magnet with two steel bars, the 58 produces a warm, full-bodied voice that cuts through a mix without losing definition. The active design generates significant output without sacrificing clarity, holding its own for rhythm power chords and lead runs across multiple playing styles. On stage or in the studio, it tracks fast picking and sustains notes with authority.
Installation & Power
Solderless connections and a short shaft design simplify installation in most guitar cavities—no desoldering required if you're upgrading or swapping rigs. The pickup runs on a 9V battery with approximately 3000 hours of battery life, and the complete package includes two 25k volume potentiometers, one 25k tone potentiometer, battery bus, stereo output jack, mounting hardware, and all necessary cables so you can get up and running fast.
