Description
EMG 58X Active Humbucker Pickup in Chrome
The EMG 58X is a high-output active humbucker built for players who demand aggressive, articulate tone with real dynamic responsiveness. Chrome finish delivers a classic look while the X Series preamp architecture provides additional headroom and touch sensitivity—play soft or dig in hard, and this pickup responds accordingly. Bridge-position ready, this unit performs equally well in any position on the guitar.
Tone & Output Character
High output combined with the X Series preamp cuts through a live mix with thick, controlled tone ideal for rock, metal, and high-gain styles. The AlNiCo and steel bar magnet construction balances warmth with clarity, staying articulate even at extreme gain levels—no mud, no feedback surprises on stage.
Wiring & Installation
The solderless installation system means no soldering iron needed—critical for reliable road setups and quick replacement work. The included 25k volume and tone potentiometers (short shaft, 10 mm thread), battery bus, stereo output jack, and complete cable assembly handle the wiring work; everything arrives ready to drop in for a clean, trouble-free installation.

What styles and tunings is the 58X best suited for?
