Description
EMG 60-7 Active Soapbar Pickup in Black
The EMG 60-7 delivers the refined, articulate voice that defines modern active pickup performance. This seven-string soapbar sits flat and flush in extended-range instruments, offering tight string definition and responsive dynamics across the full frequency spectrum. Built for players who demand clarity without sacrificing aggression, the 60-7 bridges the gap between classic EMG character and contemporary seven-string voicing.
Tone & Electronics
The 2.95 kHz resonant frequency positions this pickup in the sweet spot for articulate midrange presence while maintaining extended high-end detail. An RMS output of 1.0V and peak output of 3.0V deliver strong signal to your preamp without harsh clipping, paired with a clean -89 dBV output noise floor that ensures articulation even at high gain. Active circuitry draws just 80 microamps at 9V, allowing 3000 hours of battery life between changes—reliable power for gigs and recording sessions without unexpected downtime.
Design & Build
Precision ceramic magnets with close aperture coils give the 60-7 its signature punch and string separation. The metal housing in classic black finish integrates seamlessly into modern instrument designs. This package includes a complete electronics suite: 25K volume pot, 25K tone pot, battery bus, stereo output jack, two-pickup in/out bus, mounting screws, pickup cable, connect cables, output cable, and battery cable—everything needed for installation and ready to perform night after night.
