EMG 85 Active Humbucker Pickup in White

EMG 85 Active Humbucker Pickup in White

The EMG 85 delivers articulate, punchy response with controlled output and minimal noise—a hallmark of active pickup design. This Alnico V humbucker balances clarity with aggression, making it equally at home in high-gain applications or studio tracking where definition matters.

Electronics & Output

Running on a single 9V battery with a rated lifespan of 3000 hours, the 85 produces 3.10 V RMS output and 4.50 V peak output with exceptionally low noise at -101 dBV. The 10 kΩ impedance and 80 µA current draw ensure stable, noise-free signal transmission to your amplifier, maintaining clarity through long cable runs and complex stage rigs.

Installation & Build

The exclusive EMG Solderless Install System eliminates the need for soldering, cutting installation time significantly and reducing potential wiring issues in the field. The package includes a split shaft volume/tone control set, output jack, battery clip set, mounting screws, and springs for immediate integration into your instrument—no tech bench required.
