EMG HX Long Shaft Active Single Coil Pickup in Ivory

Solderless installation comes standard; the complete electronics package, potentiometers, battery bus assembly, and cable kit arrive ready to wire. No soldering iron or custom harness fabrication required.

The integrated VLPF (Very Low Pass Filter) lets you roll off high frequencies in real time via the active tone potentiometer, giving you sculpting capability without post-production EQ. This is especially useful for live performances or studio sessions where you want to dial in your sound quickly.

Yes, the HX is built into humbucker housing for standard mounting compatibility. The long shaft variant accommodates deeper pickguard routes, so verify your route depth before ordering.

The ceramic magnet delivers articulate clarity and punchy character across a wide frequency response, offering single-coil definition without the noise or fragility of a passive design. Active electronics give you real-time tonal control that passive pickups cannot.

The HX is optimized for styles that benefit from articulate clarity and punchy character—studio sessions, gigging, and modern genres. Traditional jazz and folk players typically favor warmer, more vintage single-coil or humbucker voices.
