Does this pickup require soldering to install?

No. The P60A ships with a complete solderless wiring system that includes 25K volume and tone potentiometers, battery bus connectors, and a stereo output jack—installation requires no soldering when using the provided components.

How long does the battery last?

A standard 9V battery provides approximately 3,000 hours of operation, giving you months of reliable playing between changes.

Can I use this in both bridge and neck positions?

Yes. The P60A is designed to work equally well in either position across a wide range of instruments, and it includes two-pickup switching capability for multi-pickup wiring.

What makes the P60A good for high-gain and studio recording?

The pickup combines a -100 dB noise floor, balanced controlled output, and a 1.80 kHz resonant frequency that delivers aggressive definition without harshness—cutting through dense mixes and high-gain tones while maintaining musical sustain.

How does the P90-style housing compare to a full-size humbucker?

The P90-style compact footprint fits guitars built for P90 pickups while delivering EMG's 60A active humbucker design, offering versatility across instrument types without the larger footprint of a standard humbucker.
