What's included in the box?

The EMG SAX ships complete with the pickup, Solderless Install System, split-shaft volume and tone controls, output jack, battery clip set, and all mounting hardware and screws. Everything you need for a full installation without soldering.

Do I need to solder to install this?

No. The EMG Solderless Install System eliminates traditional wiring complexity, allowing you to swap the pickup in and out using quick connectors. No soldering iron required.

Will this eliminate hum and noise on a crowded stage or in a noisy studio?

Yes. The active circuit eliminates 60-cycle hum and RF interference, so you can run long cable runs and sit comfortably on crowded stages or in electrically noisy environments without noise penalty.

What tones is this pickup best suited for?

The SAX excels in rock, pop, indie, and blues, delivering bright, cutting presence with articulate punch and defined highs. It is not designed for metal or djent styles.

Will this fit my guitar?

The EMG SAX is drop-in compatible with standard single-coil routes found on Fender-style guitars and other instruments with single-coil cavities.

Do I pay sales tax on this order?

Marketplaces such as eBay, Reverb and Amazon collect sales tax in nearly every state as marketplace facilitators no matter who the seller is, so the same item at the same price costs less bought direct. EMG SAX Active Single Coil Pickup in White

The EMG SAX delivers articulate, punchy single-coil character with the reliability of active electronics. This pickup cuts through the mix with bright, defined presence—classic single-coil snap without the noise and hum that haunts passive designs on crowded stages.

Tone & Stage Reliability

Built on an Alnico V magnet paired with close-aperture coils, the SAX produces defined highs and midrange clarity characteristic of quality single-coil architecture. The active circuit eliminates 60-cycle hum and RF interference, letting you run long cable runs from stage to mixing console and share crowded signal paths without noise creeping into your tone.
