Description
EMG SAX Active Single Coil Pickup Set in White
The EMG SAX delivers responsive, articulate tone through a bright and airy single-coil character paired with solid low-end presence that cuts through a mix. This active pickup set eliminates the noise floor that plagues passive single coils—critical for players who need clarity on stage without unwanted hum. The solderless installation system makes retrofitting straightforward, whether upgrading an existing instrument or building a custom setup.
Tone & Electronics
Built around Alnico V magnets with close-aperture coils, the SAX produces a characteristically bright, airy tone while maintaining a rich bottom end for balanced frequency response. The newly designed active preamp operates at low impedance and delivers virtually noiseless operation—eliminating the hum and noise associated with passive single-coil designs. On stage or in the studio, the noise-free output stays consistent through long sets.
Installation & Compatibility
This set includes a solderless install kit complete with pickup cable and connection cables, streamlining the installation process on either bass or electric guitar. The white finish offers a distinctive aesthetic while the active circuitry ensures consistent output and reliability across extended playing sessions and road use.
