Does this pickup require soldering to install?

No. The SJVX uses quick-connect solderless cables, which eliminates the need for soldering and reduces risk of heat damage to surrounding electronics during installation.

What bass models is this pickup compatible with?

The SJVX is engineered as a neck-position active pickup for 4-string basses in a jazz bass format. It integrates into paired pickup systems or works as a standalone retrofit on compatible instruments.

What are the two output modes, and when would I use each?

The pickup offers a 2.00V string output for focused articulation and finger definition, and an 8.00V thump output for commanding low-end presence. Choose string mode for cutting clarity in dense mixes; thump mode for roomy, powerful bass character.

What comes in the box with the SJVX?

The pickup includes black covers, quick-connect cables, and all hardware needed for installation on a 4-string bass.
