Description
EMG SLVX Active Single Coil Pickup in Ivory
The EMG SLVX delivers the articulate snap of a single-coil design with the clarity and headroom of EMG's active circuitry. This noiseless configuration pairs Alnico V pole pieces positioned closer to individual strings for enhanced string-to-string definition and dynamic response. Built for players who demand single-coil character without the hum, the SLVX excels in high-output applications where punch and presence matter on stage.
Design & Construction
The noiseless single-coil design eliminates the 60-cycle hum typical of passive single coils while preserving tonal clarity and responsiveness through every gig. Flat Alnico V pole pieces provide increased headroom and punch compared to earlier single-coil iterations, ensuring articulate treble and defined midrange even at high gain settings, keeping your tone locked in during live performance.
Installation & Integration
The solderless wiring system streamlines installation, allowing direct connection without requiring soldering expertise—critical for quick repairs and reliable troubleshooting at the venue. The X Series preamp powers the pickup with consistent gain and minimal noise, making integration into existing active electronics straightforward and road-tested.
