Sound & Tone
The 27" baritone scale and neck-through alder body keep low-tuned seventh-string riffs tight and defined, with sustain that holds through sustained chugs, while the Macassar ebony board and stainless XJ frets add a hard, bright attack to every note. The Fishman Modern Hum set covers a wide span: the ceramic bridge unit hits with compressed, high-output aggression for palm-muted rhythm and lead cut, and the Alnico neck pickup stays rounder and clearer for cleans and melodic lines, with the 3-voice push/pull tone offering further voicing changes. Paired with the Evertune bridge's locked-in intonation, it suits modern metal, djent and progressive playing where drop tunings, heavy gauges and chord clarity all have to hold up.
ESP LTD M-1007B Baritone Evertune Guitar - Granite Sparkle
The M-1007B is a purpose-built baritone instrument designed for extended-range playing and extreme tuning stability. Its 27" scale and 7-string configuration deliver the low-end clarity and articulation demanded by modern metal and progressive players. The Extra Thin U neck contour paired with Macassar Ebony fingerboard creates an instrument that balances comfort with precision, even during aggressive playing across all registers.
Playability & Build Quality
Built on a neck-through Alder body with a 3-piece Maple neck, this guitar provides exceptional sustain and structural integrity for hours of gigging and rehearsal. The 300-400mm Compound fingerboard radius accommodates both open chords and high-gain bending with minimal choking, while 24 XJ Stainless Steel frets ensure durability and precise intonation across years of use. The 48mm Molded nut provides proper string spacing for clean articulation on the extended 7-string layout, letting you lock into tight riffs with confidence on stage.
Electronics & Hardware
Dual Fishman Modern Hum pickups—Alnico 3-Voice in the neck and Ceramic 3-Voice at the bridge—deliver versatile tonal character from clarity to aggression, cutting through the mix in any band context. The Active electronics layout with Volume, Tone (Push/Pull), and 3-way Switch provides real-time control, while the legendary Evertune bridge maintains perfect string-to-string intonation regardless of tuning, string gauge changes, or environmental factors. Black hardware and LTD tuners complete the professional specification, ensuring this instrument stays in tune night after night.

Frequently Asked Questions
What makes the Evertune bridge different from a traditional baritone bridge?
The Evertune bridge maintains perfect string-to-string intonation automatically, eliminating the tuning drift and instability that plague standard baritone designs—especially critical when using heavy alternate tunings or thick string gauges. It keeps the guitar in pitch regardless of environmental shifts or extended playing sessions.
Is this guitar suitable for someone transitioning from standard 6-string to extended range?
The M-1007B is engineered for advanced and professional players; its neck-through construction, 27-inch baritone scale, and active electronics demand solid extended-range experience. Players new to 7-string instruments should consider building comfort on more entry-level extended-range models first.
What kind of tone does this guitar produce through distortion?
The dual Fishman Modern Hum pickups deliver articulate clarity and heavy sustain without muddiness, with the Alnico neck pickup providing balance and the Ceramic bridge pickup adding aggressive high-output definition. The active electronics and tight low-end character make it ideal for metal and progressive music.
What is included with the guitar?
The M-1007B ships as a complete instrument with the Evertune bridge, active electronics, black hardware, LTD tuners, and the Granite Sparkle finish. A gig bag or case is not mentioned in the specifications.
How does the Extra Thin U neck contour feel during aggressive playing?
The Extra Thin U contour paired with the 300–400mm compound radius fingerboard provides comfortable grip during fast aggressive performances while maintaining structural integrity for sustain across the 7-string layout. The 48mm molded nut ensures proper spacing for both open voicings and aggressive bending.
