ESP LTD Phoenix Guitars for the Stage

Few guitars look as striking under stage lights as an LTD Phoenix. The offset, reverse-Firebird-style body is a statement, and the set-neck construction gives the guitar a solid, connected feel from the neck joint up through the fretboard. High-output pickups are built to push an amp hard, which is what heavy rock and metal players expect from a gigging instrument.

The series has real pedigree in loud music. Some designs are inspired by Bill Kelliher of Mastodon, and the family stretches from the Phoenix-200 line to the Phoenix-1000 and the Phoenix-1007 Baritone for players who tune low. The current racks include the Phoenix-201, Phoenix-200DX and Phoenix-204DX in Black, Black Burst and Red Burst, finishes that stand out on a dark stage.

The 200-series guitars are the practical choice for players who want a distinctive working guitar, with prices from about $499 to $599. Step up to the 1000 or the baritone if you are chasing the series' top-tier or low-tuned options. LV Guitars stocks the Phoenix for players who want something different from the usual double-cut.
