SABIAN 20" AA Molto Symphonic Suspended

The AA Molto Symphonic uses B20 bronze (80% copper, 20% tin with silver traces) instead of standard AA bronze, producing a darker, more sophisticated voice. Its flanged edge and Sound Control edge design emphasize sustain management and articulation control, making it better suited to ensemble settings where clarity and projection are essential.

Yes, it's specifically designed for orchestral and concert band contexts. The moderate response time allows for deliberate control and articulation, while the flanged edge prevents wash buildup—ideal for structured ensemble work requiring projection and clarity.

The sound takes slightly longer to blossom than faster-responding cymbals like AAX or HHX, giving you more control over musical phrasing and dynamics. This works best with controlled, deliberate playing rather than delicate or very fast articulations.

This cymbal is not designed for heavy metal or punk applications. Its bright-mid timbre and sustain control are optimized for orchestral, band, and formal ensemble work rather than high-impact rock or extreme genres.

The flanged edge controls and shapes sustain, preventing excessive wash buildup that can muddy ensemble recordings or performances. Combined with the Sound Control edge, it gives you precise command over dynamics and articulation without sacrificing natural projection.
