Sound & Tone
The EMG 35JCSX and 35PCSX active pickups running through an 18-volt B-30 3-band EQ give the Riot-4 a modern, tightly sculpted voice with firm lows, clear midrange definition and controlled top end. Swamp ash and a poplar burl top add resonance and complexity, while the ebony fingerboard and string-through bridge sharpen note attack and sustain for articulate lines that hold their place in a dense mix. The 34" scale and thin C neck suit fingerstyle drive and slap alike, making it a natural fit for rock, metal and contemporary styles that demand punch and clarity.
