Description
Seymour Duncan AHB-1n Blackouts, Neck, Black Chrome Pickup
The Seymour Duncan AHB-1n Blackouts neck pickup delivers articulate, controlled output with a focused midrange character that cuts through on stage and locks in tight for rhythm sections. This active design maintains clarity even at high gain, making it a dependable choice for gigging musicians who demand noise-free performance without sacrificing dynamic response.
Active Design & Noise Performance
Powered by a 9-volt active circuit, this pickup generates significantly less noise than comparable active designs—a reduction of 12dB to 14dB—while preserving tonal detail. The three-conductor shielded cable ensures clean signal transmission from instrument to amplifier, critical for reliable road use and consistent tone across different venues.
Tone Shaping & Construction
An Alnico V bar magnet and carefully voiced EQ curve (Bass 6 / Mid 5 / Treble 8) produce a balanced response centered around a 750 kHz resonant peak. The black chrome finish complements modern instrument aesthetics while the included mounting hardware, pots, jack, and battery clip provide everything needed for installation.
