This hand-built pickup sits comfortably in a single-coil rout while providing true hum-cancelling performance, making it an ideal choice for players seeking authentic Texas blues-rock character without routing modifications.
Tone & Construction
Built around an Alnico 5 magnet, this pickup produces the warm, responsive midrange and tight low-end response associated with Gibbons' iconic tone. Vacuum wax potting eliminates microphonic squeal, ensuring clean, feedback-free performance at any volume—essential for stages where your tone needs to sit solid in a mix.
Wiring & Integration
The 4-conductor lead wire accommodates multiple wiring configurations, allowing flexibility in hum-cancelling options and coil-splitting applications. As a passive design, it requires no battery and integrates seamlessly into any standard guitar electronics setup, meaning one less thing to maintain on the road.
