Description
Seymour Duncan Hot Chicken Strat Stack Black Pickup Set
The Hot Chicken Strat Stack Black delivers aggressive output and articulate clarity across all three positions, making it a solid choice for players who demand high-gain performance without losing definition on stage. These pickups excel in rock and metal applications while maintaining enough versatility for classic single-coil voicing when pushed through overdriven amplifiers.
Tone & Electronics
Built on stacked coil design technology, these pickups eliminate hum and noise common to traditional single-coils while preserving the brightness and snap essential to Strat character. The A5 chamfered rod magnets focus the magnetic field for punchy articulation and controlled sustain across the frequency spectrum.
Design & Build
The matching neck and middle positions share identical output levels, wind direction, and magnetic polarity for seamless tonal balance when blending positions on a gig or in the studio. Noiseless Stack technology throughout the set ensures quiet operation in high-gain environments and live settings without sacrificing the responsiveness players expect from quality Strat pickups.

Frequently Asked Questions
What skill level do these pickups suit?
The Hot Chicken Strat Stack Black is designed for intermediate to professional players comfortable with high-gain setups and rock or metal voicings. They excel at high output and articulate definition, making them ideal for established players working in these genres rather than beginners exploring clean tones.
Will these pickups eliminate hum in my setup?
Yes. The stacked coil design and Noiseless Stack technology eliminate hum common to traditional single-coils, making them reliable in high-gain studio and live environments. They maintain single-coil brightness and snap while operating quietly.
How do the neck and middle pickups work together?
The neck and middle positions are matched in output level, wind direction, and magnetic polarity, ensuring seamless tonal balance and smooth blending when you mix positions. This consistency lets you move between positions without tonal jumps during play.
What genres are these pickups best suited for?
These pickups excel in rock, metal, and hard rock applications where aggressive output and articulate clarity are priorities. They are not recommended for jazz, blues, or folk styles that rely on softer, warmer single-coil voicing.
What is included in this set?
The set includes three pickups: neck position, middle position, and bridge position, all finished in black with stacked coil design and A5 chamfered rod magnets throughout.
