Seymour Duncan Screamin' Demon Pickups - frequently asked questions
What is the difference between the Seymour Duncan SH-12 and TB-12 Screamin' Demon?
The SH-12 is the standard-size humbucker, while the TB-12 is the Trembucker version, built for guitars with a wider string spacing. Both belong to the same high-output Screamin' Demon family, so the choice comes down to your guitar's string spacing and pickup routing.
Is the Seymour Duncan Screamin' Demon a good pickup for aggressive playing?
Yes, it is designed that way. The Screamin' Demon is a high-output humbucker aimed at players who want more bite and drive from their guitar. The name signals the intent, so it suits guitarists looking for a more aggressive tone than a mild, low-output pickup.
What finishes does the Screamin' Demon come in?
Finishes include black, white, zebra and reverse zebra. The Trembucker models also come with nickel or gold covers. Because the price range is narrow, the decision is mostly about format and looks, so you can match the pickups to your current guitar or give it a new look.
