Seymour Duncan TB-PG1b Pearly Gates Trembucker Black Pickup
The TB-PG1b Pearly Gates Trembucker delivers the classic warmth and articulation that made the original Pearly Gates a studio and stage staple. Built with Alnico II magnets and vacuum wax potting, this bridge pickup produces clear, singing tones with natural compression and responsive dynamics that cut through the mix without sacrificing vintage character. The F-spaced design accommodates modern tremolo bridges and post-1999 Gibson instruments seamlessly.
Tone & Output Character
Rated at 8.8K DCR with a vintage output profile, this pickup balances clarity and sustain across all frequencies. The Alnico II magnet delivers a smooth, organic response that excels for classic rock, blues, and vintage-voiced tones on the bandstand—articulate enough to define your note attack without the harsh treble or muddy lows that lesser designs introduce.
Construction & Reliability
Vacuum wax potted construction eliminates microphonic feedback and ensures rock-solid reliability under stage conditions, while the nickel silver bottom plate provides electromagnetic shielding and contributes to the pickup's tonal character. The included four-conductor hookup cable enables series, parallel, and split-coil wiring options for maximum tonal flexibility.
