Sound & Tone
The mahogany body with a bolt-on maple neck gives this one a punchy, tight low end and clear attack, while the EMG Retro Active Hot 70 in the bridge delivers a hot, focused output with enough clarity for fast riffing and tapping. The Sustainiac in the neck position opens the door to endless sustain and controlled feedback for soaring leads and ambient held notes. With a 25.5" scale, 14" radius, thin 'C' neck, 24 X-Jumbo frets and a Floyd Rose Special locking tremolo, it's built for hard rock and metal players who lean on dive bombs, wide vibrato and high-speed lead work.
Schecter Sun Valley Super Shredder FR S in Satin Black B-Stock
The Sun Valley Super Shredder FR S is built for players who demand speed and stability on stage. Its thin, fast Thin 'C' maple neck with 24 X-Jumbo frets and comfortable 14" fretboard radius cuts fatigue during marathon sets and technical passages. The Floyd Rose Special 'Hot Rod' locking tremolo keeps tuning rock-solid through aggressive dive bombs and pitch shifts—essential for gigging musicians who can't afford mid-set retuning. Mahogany body construction with bolt-on joinery delivers the resonance and snap needed to cut through live mix, and this B-Stock unit offers identical specs and performance as new inventory at a reduced price.
Playability & Hardware
The neck measures .787" (20mm) at the 1st fret and .866" (22mm) at the 12th fret, keeping hand movement minimal during fast runs and reducing fatigue over a long gig. A 2-way adjustable truss rod with heel access makes on-the-road neck relief adjustment straightforward, and the 1.625" (41.3mm) nut width gives you room for precise fretting without cramping your hand.
Tone & Electronics
The EMG Retro Active Hot 70 bridge pickup punches through high-gain amp settings with aggressive midrange and clarity, staying articulate even in dense live mixes. The Sustainiac neck pickup opens up harmonic feedback and extended sustain through dedicated on-off and mode switching (Fundamental-Mix-Harmonic modes), giving you creative options between songs or mid-performance. Dual 9-volt clip-in battery compartment powers the active electronics with easy access for quick battery swaps between sets.

Frequently Asked Questions
What does B-Stock mean for this guitar?

These marks are purely superficial and have zero impact on playability, tone, or structural integrity.
Is this guitar suitable for metal and drop tunings?
Yes. The 25.5" scale length, 24 X-Jumbo frets, Thin 'C' neck profile, and Floyd Rose Special 'Hot Rod' tremolo are all designed for aggressive playing, extended range work, and stable tuning through dive bombs and radical pitch shifts typical of metal and progressive music.
How does the Sustainiac pickup work?
The Sustainiac neck pickup has dedicated on-off and mode switching with three modes—Fundamental, Mix, and Harmonic—enabling controlled harmonic feedback and sustained tone generation. It's powered by a dual 9-volt clip-in battery compartment.
What pickup configuration does this guitar have?
The bridge features an EMG Retro Active Hot 70 for aggressive midrange and clarity in high-gain contexts, while the neck houses the Sustainiac for harmonic feedback and tone sustain. Both are active electronics powered by the onboard battery system.
How is the neck constructed, and will it suit fast playing?
The neck is a slim Thin 'C' profile maple with 24 X-Jumbo frets and a 14" fretboard radius, measuring .787" at the 1st fret and .866" at the 12th fret. This slim profile minimizes hand fatigue during fast passages and aggressive playing techniques.
