EMG JCSX Active Bass Pickup Set in Black

The set includes dual ceramic-magnet pickups, the Original J preamp, two 25k volume potentiometers, one 25k tone potentiometer, battery bus, stereo output jack, two pickup cables, two connect cables, one output cable, and four mounting screws. You will need to supply one 9V battery separately.

The EMG JCSX is optimized for jazz, funk, studio sessions, and gigging applications where articulate highs and defined lows are priorities. It is not recommended for metal or thrash metal styles.

The Original J preamp provides clean amplification with low noise and sufficient headroom for dynamic playing across all registers, allowing ceramic magnets and steel pole pieces to deliver articulate tone without harshness. This active system ensures professional-grade output suitable for both recording and live performance.

This is a complete system—all necessary wiring components, potentiometers, battery bus, jacks, cables, and mounting hardware are included in the box, eliminating the need to source additional parts separately.

Installation is suitable for intermediate to advanced players comfortable with bass electronics and soldering. Professional installation is recommended if you are unfamiliar with wiring active pickup systems.
