Description
EMG Jim Root Daemonum Active Humbucker Pickup Set in Zebra
The EMG Jim Root Daemonum set delivers the aggressive, articulate high-gain tone that cuts through a live mix with surgical clarity and controlled sustain. Designed in collaboration with Slipknot's Jim Root, these active humbuckers feature custom Retro Active preamps exclusive to the Root signature line—engineered for modern metal and extreme styles where note definition remains crystal clear even at stage volume and distortion levels. The zebra finish adds visual distinction, and the solderless installation system gets you stage-ready without solder work or complex wiring.
Tone & Stage Performance
Built on a 3K DC resistance platform, the Daemonum set pairs ceramic studs in the neck position with black steel poles and ceramic magnet in the bridge, creating focused output with aggressive attack and tight low-end response that holds steady under heavy gain. The custom Retro Active preamps are exclusive to this Jim Root signature set and optimize signal clarity and sustain for high-gain applications, ensuring your riffs punch through in live and studio environments.
Installation & Compatibility
The solderless install system includes everything needed for drop-in compatibility: two 25K volume controls, two 25K tone controls, battery buss, stereo output jack, mounting hardware, and all necessary cables. Both pickups maintain standard humbucker string spacing with a short shaft length and 48.3 mm (1.9") width, engineered for straightforward integration into most guitar configurations and reliable live use.
