What's included in this set?

The SAV includes three single-coil pickups configured for neck, middle, and bridge positions, a 25K volume pot, two 25K tone pots, battery bus, stereo output jack, 5-way selector switch, cables, and mounting hardware—everything needed for a complete rewire of a 6-string Strat-style guitar.

Do these pickups require a battery?

Yes, the SAV pickups are active and require a 9V battery for operation. The set includes a quick-connector battery bus that simplifies battery access and maintenance.

How does the active design compare to passive single coils?

The SAV uses active circuitry to eliminate induced hum while delivering consistent output levels across all positions, giving you the responsive character of single coils without the noise that plagues passive designs. Tone remains transparent and articulate with tight lows and controlled highs.

What genres and playing styles are these pickups best suited for?

The SAV excels at lead work, clean tones, rhythm playing, and studio sessions in rock and pop contexts. The articulate, punchy character prioritizes definition and clarity, making them less ideal for heavy metal or djent applications.

Are these pickups easy to install?

Yes—the set includes mounting screws, springs, connecting cables, and a quick-connector design that speeds up installation and battery access. If you're comfortable with soldering or have someone assist with the wiring, the included harness simplifies the rewire process.
