Description
EMG SAX Active Single Coil Pickup in Ivory
The EMG SAX delivers articulate, punchy single-coil character with the reliability of active electronics and zero hum. This pickup excels on stage across rock, funk, and alternative setups where clarity and definition cut through the mix without relying on vintage warmth. The ivory finish integrates seamlessly into lighter-colored instrument aesthetics.
Active Design & Live Noise Performance
Active circuitry powered by a standard 9V battery eliminates the hum inherent to passive single coils, giving you quiet operation through high-gain amplification and long cable runs—essential for reliable gigging and touring. The compact architecture fits standard single-coil routes without modification.
Tone & Stage Presence
EMG SAX pickups produce bright, defined midrange presence and crisp articulation that cuts through dense live mixes. The output level sits between classic single coils and humbuckers, delivering enough punch for overdrive and distortion while maintaining note separation at high gains, making it dependable for both tight venues and larger rooms.
