The E-II RZK-II Burnt is a neck-thru instrument built for aggressive playing and extreme downtuning. Its distressed finish with intentional burn marks and gouges delivers the visual intensity of high-energy performances, while the extended 25.5" scale and thin U-contoured neck provide comfortable access and stability for both standard and drop tunings on stage.

Build & Materials

Constructed at the ESP factory in Japan using an alder body and three-piece maple neck in full neck-thru-body design, this guitar achieves excellent sustain and tonal clarity for live cut and presence. The rosewood fingerboard features 24 extra-jumbo frets with white binding, while the 305mm radius and 42mm locking nut support both heavy gauge and downtuned strings without compromising playability or intonation stability during a set.

The Fishman Fluence Richard Z Signature Series pickup set delivers versatile modern tones through a hybrid magnet configuration: Modern alnico in the neck for warm articulation and Modern ceramic in the bridge for aggressive presence that cuts through a mix. Both pickups feature brushed stainless steel covers and include a pull-volume voice-switching function, allowing you to toggle between two distinct voicings on the fly—essential for shifting between clean dynamics and saturated distortion tones without reaching for a pedal.
