Alexi Laiho Signature Guitars by ESP & LTD

Pick up an Alexi Laiho model and the intent is obvious: a pointed, stage-ready shape built for fast, aggressive playing. At LV Guitars, the series gathers the Arrowhead, Hexed, Sawtooth, Ripped and Alexi-200 designs from LTD, plus the ESP and E-II versions, all tied to the Children of Bodom guitarist's legacy.

For gigging players, the stripped-down single-pickup layout is the appeal. One bridge humbucker, either EMG or Seymour Duncan, means a direct, high-gain voice with little to fuss over between songs. Floyd Rose models suit dive-heavy lead work, while fixed-bridge versions offer a simpler setup for tuning stability on the road.

The pinstripe and sawtooth graphics make these guitars stand out under stage lights, and collectors will notice the lefty and anniversary editions. SE and LTD models are a practical way into the shape, while ESP and E-II instruments, up to around $6,399, serve players and collectors who want the top-tier version.

Alexi Laiho Signature Guitars (ESP & LTD) - frequently asked questions

What models are in the Alexi Laiho signature guitar lineup?

The lineup covers the LTD Alexi-200, Arrowhead, Hexed, Sawtooth and Ripped designs, with ESP and E-II versions of those shapes. Finishes lean on pinstripe and sawtooth graphics in black, purple fade and other schemes. Anniversary editions and a left-handed model are part of the range too.

What pickups and bridges do Alexi Laiho guitars have?

These guitars share a single bridge-position pickup layout, using either an EMG or a Seymour Duncan depending on the model. You can choose between a Floyd Rose tremolo or a fixed bridge. That simple setup suits fast, high-gain lead playing and melodic death metal tones.

What is the difference between the LTD, SE and ESP Alexi Laiho models?

SE and numbered LTD models sit at the lower end of the range, making them a good entry point into the signature series. ESP and E-II instruments are at the top, aimed at serious players and collectors. A B-Stock unit is also available as an open-box, discounted option, fully covered.
