Description
Sound & Tone
The alder body with neck-thru maple construction and a Hipshot string-thru hardtail gives this M-1000HT a tight, focused attack with strong sustain and clear note separation, while the Macassar ebony board adds snap to the high end. Fishman Fluence Modern humbuckers cover a lot of ground: the ceramic bridge delivers high-output, low-noise clarity that stays articulate under heavy gain, the Alnico neck warms up leads, and the push-pull second voicing shifts the character without swapping guitars. With a 25.5" scale, extra thin U neck and 24 frets, it's aimed squarely at metal, hard rock and technical lead playing where fast runs and palm-muted riffing need to stay defined.
ESP LTD M-1000HT Electric Guitar Black Fade
The M-1000HT is built for gigging musicians who demand both precision and dependability. Neck-thru construction paired with an extra-thin U-contour neck feels natural in hand during long sets, while the Black Fade finish with white body bindings projects confidence on stage. Direct-mounted Fishman Fluence Modern Humbuckers with active electronics deliver articulate, noise-free tone that cuts through a mix and stays tight—essential for players working across multiple genres and venues.
Playability & Construction
Neck-thru-body construction with an alder body and burled poplar top ensures sustain and tonal clarity, while the 3-piece maple neck with extra-thin U contour and satin finish enables fast, effortless movement across the 24 extra jumbo frets. The Macassar ebony fingerboard with 350mm radius and 43mm nut width provide precision fretting and comfortable string spacing for both lead and rhythm work on stage or in the studio.
Electronics & Hardware
Direct-mounted Fishman Fluence Modern Humbuckers—Alnico neck and Ceramic bridge—coupled with active 1x Volume and 1x Tone (Push/Pull) controls deliver high-output, noise-free performance with tonal flexibility that stands up to gigging demands. The Hipshot bridge with string-thru-body design and LTD locking tuners hold tuning through extended sets and venue changes, while black hardware complements the instrument's visual presentation.

Frequently Asked Questions
What skill level is this guitar designed for?
The M-1000HT is built for intermediate, advanced, and professional players. The extra-thin U-contour neck and rapid-access 24 extra-jumbo frets suit experienced musicians prioritizing execution and tonal precision, though any serious player comfortable with modern active-electronics setups will find it accessible.
What genres and playing styles is this guitar best for?
The M-1000HT excels in metal, progressive, hard rock, studio sessions, and live performance. Its high-output, noise-free active pickups and tight low-end response are purpose-built for heavy and articulate styles; it is not optimized for folk or traditional jazz.
What makes the active Fishman Fluence Modern pickups better than passive pickups?
The active Fishman Fluence Modern humbuckers deliver high-output, noise-free performance with direct mounting to eliminate microphonics and ensure clean signal transfer. The active electronics (1x Volume, 1x Tone with Push/Pull, and 3-way switch) provide responsive, articulate output and tonal flexibility across genres without the hum and signal loss of passive designs.
Is this guitar reliable for both studio and live performance?
Yes. The neck-thru construction with alder body and burled poplar top maximizes sustain and tonal clarity, while the Hipshot bridge with string-thru-body design and LTD locking tuners ensure tuning stability and reliability across studio tracking and demanding live environments.
What is the neck geometry like, and will extended playing sessions be comfortable?
The neck features a 3-piece maple construction with an extra-thin U contour and satin finish, which enables rapid fretboard movement without fatigue during extended sessions. The 350mm radius and 43mm nut width provide precision fretting and comfortable string spacing for both lead and rhythm work.
