Ibanez AZ Series Guitars - frequently asked questions
What makes the Ibanez AZ series different from a standard S-style guitar?
The AZ is a modern take on the S-style electric, developed with input from Tom Quayle and Martin Miller. It features an oval C neck in roasted maple, Seymour Duncan Hyperion pickups, a Gotoh T1802 tremolo, and dyna-MIX switching with an Alter Switch for a wide range of tones.
What is the difference between AZ Prestige, AZ Premium, AZES Essentials and AZS models?
The line is organized into tiers. AZ Prestige and Premium models sit at the top, AZES Essentials brings the AZ platform to a more accessible level, and AZS rounds out the family. Prices range from affordable entry models to premium builds, and the current selection includes AZ24 and AZ42 variants.
Are there B-Stock or left-handed Ibanez AZ guitars available?
Yes, B-Stock units are part of the current AZ range. These are open-box, discounted guitars that are fully covered, including finishes like Metallic Light Blue, Prussian Blue Metallic and Deep Ocean Blonde. There are currently no left-handed AZ models available, so check back for updates.
