Ibanez RG Series Guitars for Players

Pick up an RG and the first thing you notice is the neck. The thin Wizard profile is built for speed, so fast runs, big stretches and long sets stay comfortable. Whether you pick an Edge or Lo-Pro Edge tremolo or a fixed bridge decides how much dive-bomb and flutter you get on stage, and that choice is part of how each RG plays.

Each sub-line suits a different player. RGA guitars add an arched top for a more sculpted feel. RGD models bring extended-scale and multi-scale layouts for low tunings and heavy rhythm work, such as the RGD71ALMS 7-string. RGR guitars have a reverse headstock, and RGT guitars are neck-through. Collectors will want the Genesis RG550 reissues in Desert Sun Yellow, Purple Neon and Road Flare Red.

Standard and Iron Label guitars are a practical way into the series, while Premium and Prestige tiers are the step up. LV Guitars currently stocks RGs from about $600 to $1,700, including B-Stock finishes that give gigging players another way in.
