JBL AC16 Ultra Compact 2-Way Loudspeaker (Black)
The JBL AC16 packs serious output into a genuinely compact package, making it a go-to choice for touring rigs and portable setups where real estate matters. Its ultra-compact enclosure houses a full 2-way system without compromise, combining a 1" compression driver with a 6.5" low-frequency transducer to deliver balanced tone across its coverage zone. Built with a multi-ply hardwood enclosure and durable DuraFlex™ finish, this speaker stands up to the road, pulling double duty in touring scenarios and permanent installations alike.
Sound & Projection
The AC16 spans a frequency range of 55 Hz–20 kHz (−10 dB) with a ±3 dB response from 65 Hz–18 kHz, keeping mids and highs clean and articulate while extending bass response for full-range authority. Its 90° × 90° coverage pattern locks in consistent level across the room, while the 160 W continuous / 320 W program / 640 W peak power rating delivers headroom for dynamic peaks without breaking up.
Build & Reliability
At just 381.0 × 199.4 × 226.1 mm and 7.2 kg (15.8 lb), the AC16 moves easily between venues and rigs without becoming a logistics nightmare. A 6.5" Symmetrical Field Geometry (SFG) transducer with copper-clad aluminum edge-wound 2" voice coil handles repeated touring stress and extended excursion, while five M8 suspension attachment points (one top, three bottom, one rear) let you rig it flexibly with brackets and stands to match your setup.
