Description
Sound & Tone
The Schecter Diamond Active bridge pickup pushes a tight, high-output voice out of the basswood body, giving palm-muted rhythms a compact punch and leads a clear, compressed edge across the 25.5" scale. Swapping to the Sustainiac neck pickup opens up singing sustain and controllable feedback via its mini switches, so held notes and harmonics can bloom indefinitely rather than decay. With 24 jumbo frets, a 14" radius and a Floyd Rose double locking tremolo holding pitch through dive bombs, it sits squarely in metal, hard rock and shred territory where sustained lead work and aggressive whammy use are part of the vocabulary.
Schecter Demon-6 FR-S in Aged Black Satin
The Demon-6 FR-S is built for gigging players and studio musicians who need a hardworking instrument with rock-solid stability. The thin "C" neck profile and 24 jumbo frets across a 25.5" scale cut through the mix, while the carved basswood body with aged crème binding delivers responsive, focused tone. The Floyd Rose Special "Hot Rod" Double Locking Tremolo stays locked in even during aggressive tremolo dives and aggressive picking, so you can count on your tuning night after night on stage.
Playability & Feel
The thin "C" neck with measurements of 20mm at the 1st fret and 22mm at the 12th fret sits naturally in the hand, enabling quick movement across 24 jumbo frets without fatigue. The rosewood fretboard with 14" radius and gothic cross inlays supports clean, repeatable technique, while the Floyd Rose Locking Nut (41.3mm width) keeps everything in perfect tune during extended tremolo work—essential for dependable live performance.
Tone & Electronics
The Schecter Diamond Active bridge pickup and Sustainiac neck pickup combination delivers high output and controlled harmonic feedback via dedicated mini switches and master volume/tone controls. You get thick, cutting rhythm tones on the bridge and singing lead sustain on the neck—the flexibility to handle both driving sections and soaring solos in the same set.

Frequently Asked Questions
What neck profile and fret count does this guitar have?
The Demon-6 FR-S features a thin "C"-shaped neck measuring 20mm at the 1st fret and 22mm at the 12th fret, paired with 24 jumbo frets on a rosewood fretboard with a 14-inch radius. This combination provides fast playability and comfortable hand positioning during extended playing sessions.
How does the Floyd Rose tremolo system work, and will it hold tuning?
The guitar is equipped with a Floyd Rose Special "Hot Rod" Double Locking Tremolo bridge paired with a Floyd Rose Locking Nut, designed to maintain tuning integrity even under aggressive tremolo use. The double locking system secures the string at both the nut and bridge, preventing detuning during extended vibrato work.
What are the pickup options and what tones can I expect?
The Demon-6 FR-S combines a Schecter Diamond Active bridge pickup for aggressive, articulate output with a Sustainiac neck pickup that delivers harmonic sustain and unlimited decay. Dedicated mini switches control the Sustainiac function, allowing you to switch between thick rhythm tones and singing, sustained lead textures.
Is this guitar suitable for jazz or blues playing?
The Demon-6 FR-S is purpose-built for metal, hard rock, progressive, and studio sessions; its high-output active electronics and aggressive tonal character are not optimized for jazz, folk, or country styles.
What is the scale length and body construction?
The guitar features a 25.5-inch scale length paired with a carved basswood body finished in Aged Black Satin with aged crème 1-ply binding. Black Nickel hardware completes the professional appearance and durability.
